Impossible to edit my profile!

Hi all. I stopped using the zone for some years, but I was in a mood for coming back. So I did and tried to update my profile. I was able to edit all the fields excepting the last one which is about me. I tried to type but letters simply don't appear. I tried with both Nvda and Jaws and it's always the same. I even tried withh sighted help with the same results! Any ideas? Cheers

No ideas, but you're the second one to have had this problem. The other one who did was a sighted user, and none of us have been able to come up with any answers for her, either. Admins, CL's, any thoughts here now that a second person is having this trouble?

I haven't had this issue. Is it possible that if you don't update it after a certain time that it becomes locked?

No I don't think it gets locked because I was able to update the other information! I only have this problem on the last field! Cheers!

No,and if it is, it shouldn't be. I have flagged this issue to the staff. I will give them a friendly reminder. don't forget about contact support if you would like to talk to the admins directly about this. I will do what I can, though.

Yep, I've never been able to do this, either. My sighted husband can't find a way to do it. I'll contact admins.

since someone has brought this topic back up, I figured I'd say that I'm able to edit my entire profile, now. I'm using a different version of jaws, along with a new computer, but am not sure why others are still having trouble. hopefully, someone looks into it for you all.

I'm using Mac OS 10.8 and tried with Safari and Google Chrome with Voiceover screen-reader.

I know some edit fields on the zone simply don't work with mac os 10.8
the cl application is one, for example.
I'll try filling out the profile and see what happens.

Thanks. Hmmm, that's an idea. I could try turning VO off and editing, but not being able to review it would be a pain. Anyhow, we shall see.

write up in text edit, then try copying and pasting in.

Thanks, James. Been there, done that. Or rather, not done that. :-P Today I tried in Windows with NVDA. No joy.
